friendship hike

We hiked again!  This time, my friend and I invited all of the Grade 2 kids and their families – in an attempt to bring the French Immersion and English track kids together.  Super-Soccer-Saturday prevented many families from coming.  Only five showed.  No matter, it was lovely (Though we may schedule another for an upcoming Sunday).  It was a really great way to connect with parents and kids.  We chatted, picked berries, fed the birds and made nature walk bracelets.   Most of the kids ended up asking for nature walk badges (I think I wrapped the duct tape too tightly around their wrists, so we unwrapped it and stuck it onto their chests).  I am still wearing mine, but after a few showers and some gardening, it looks a little ragged and leathery.
