waiting for mangoes


I owe a school post. I know. I just need to take a few good photos of the uniforms. Quick update: It’s amazing. I feel very lucky. The girls love it.

For now, mangoes.  We have two trees worth coming.  Jam, chutney and sorbet, I think. It’s going to be mayhem.

The dropped ones get faces:

I am trying to get my head around gardening.  My tools have been weeded down (haha) and packed into a small storage unit under the Second Narrows Bridge. And yet, the climate down here is perfect for growing – year round!  We have a new agriculturalist friend who is working towards living off of his own small plot of land. It’s amazing. He is growing all kinds of good stuff and even cultivating a small pond of tilapia fish. Inspiring. And so, I study:
